Edward ELric is the main protagonist of Fullmetal Alchemist.

Early Years
Edward Elric was born to Hohenheim and Trisha Elric in 1899. When their father left them, Edward then felt an extreme hate for him. Edward and his brother then became interested in Alchemy, which seemed to please their mother. However, their mother was then struck with illness and died. Both boys were deeply traumatized. For the next few months or so, the boys stayed with the Rockbells, who were close neighbors of the Elrics. During that time, the boys then studied an immense amout of Human Transmutation.
